Booker High School is in our tenth year of offering the Cambridge International AICE program. It is a highly rigorous, college-preparatory program that allows students to earn college credit while in high school. The Cambridge AICE program is a magnet program that students apply to.
Booker High School currently offers 22 AICE courses and 7 Pre-AICE courses. This provides students with a wide variety of options throughout their high school experience. The AICE program works in tandem with both the Visual & Performing Arts (VPA) program and the Law Academy.
Cambridge AICE students are:
• confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others
• responsible for themselves, responsive to and respectful of others
• reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn
• innovative and equipped for new and future challenges
• engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference

The Cambridge AICE Diploma track is a rigorous academic program for academically motivated students. This program requires dedication, excellent time management, and a long-term commitment to high standards and academic effort. In the space below, please use formal, academic English to explain why you should be accepted to the program.
The AICE diploma program is rigorous and can be stressful for students due to the depth of thought, intense focus, and amount of writing required. There is also a time commitment, as students are expected to complete assignments, study, conduct research, and work on long-term projects outside of school hours. How do you plan to manage the rigor and stress of the program while also maintaining good physical and mental health?
